Green Bay Packers helmet repainted for the Pro Bowl is a fabulous piece of vintage equipment from the 9-time Pro-Bowler and offensive anchor for one of the greatest football teams ever assembled. Using quickness, masterful footwork and refined technique as an offensive tackle, the diminutive (6’4”, 250 pound) HOFer dominated and totally frustrated opposing defensive lines while protecting his quarterback, Bart Starr. His Green Bay Packers won 5 Championships, and 2 Super Bowls during the 1960’s as the most dominating force in the NFL. This Riddell helmet bears many scars from his gridiron victims with multiple scuffs and paint streaks all over the top. Each side of the helmet bears the official NFL decal. Forrest has left his black sharpie signature along with the inscription, “worn 1968” on the right side of the top of helmet. Additionally, to the inside of the helmet, above each ear hole is marked, “Gregg 75” (right side written in blue pen on piece of white tape, left side written right on helmet in black marker). Riddell’s “Guarantee tag” sticker still affixed to inside with the code “I 67” printed on. Padding is no longer there, but a slight residue remains as signs that it was once attached. Chinstrap is still attached and fully intact. No facemask.
