An incredible Brooklyn Dodgers satin game-used jersey worn by pitcher Tom Sunkel. The collar tag shows that the jersey was made by Wilson and is a size 44. A tag with Sunkel's name in script is also stitched into the collar. There is additional writing on the tag, possibly another players name. The is some minor staining on the front of the piece. The jersey is a gorgeous blue road color and was produced in satin so that its reflection would make the players easier to see under the lighting. These 1944 road jerseys are extremely scare and among the most sought-after Dodgers jerseys of any kind. Sunkel played for the St. Louis Cardinals and New York Giants before spending 1944, his last season, with the Brooklyn Dodgers.
