Wilson official Pacific Coast League (Rowland) baseball signed by Babe Ruth across the sweet spot. Ruth's signature has been scripted in black fountain pen and grades 7/10 overall. The ball displays a tiny blemish on the league president panel and is otherwise in Excellent to Mint condition. Clarence "Pants" Rowland was president of the Pacific Coast League from 1944 to 1954, therefore this ball was signed by Ruth during the last four years of his life (Ruth died in 1948). This ball has been in our consignor's family since the day it was signed and has rarely seen the light of day over the past many decades. While the exact details of its history have been lost over time, a family member was associated with the Ford Motor Company and, based upon that information, it was probably obtained around 1947, when Ruth was working with Ford in its promotion of junior American Legion Baseball. This is an exceptional Ruth single in all respects and one that would be the centerpiece of any advanced Babe Ruth or single-signed baseball. Full LOA from PSA.
