Minnesota Twins ticket stub issued for Game 1 of the 1965 World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Graded EX 5 by PSA. This game was notable because the Dodgers' scheduled starting pitcher Sandy Koufax chose not to play for religious reasons. Koufax was Jewish and the game fell on the Jewish high holiday of Yom Kippur, which is the holiest day of the year in Judaism. Koufax eventually started three games in the Series, winning two, including Game 7, which gave the Dodgers their second World Championship of the decade. 4x2.25".
