This is one of just three signed examples of this card graded at this level by PSA, with NONE graded higher. Jackson was George Steinbrenner's biggest free-agency acquisition to date and he began his Yankees career in an auspicious manner that day, singling twice in four at bats in the club's 3-0 win. The season, however, was anything but smooth for Jackson, who was mired in several controversies, including feuds with both team captain Thurman Munson and manager Billy Martin.
