Original Type I photograph capturing the 1947 World Champion New York Yankees in a traditional team pose. Thirty-four team members are pictured here posing together on the field at Yankee Stadium, including DiMaggio, Berra, Rizzuto, Henrich, Reynolds, and manager Bucky Harris. Two separate credit stamps for photographer Bob Olen appear on the reverse, along with an ink notation that reads "1947 team picture." 1947 marked Bucky Harris' first season as manager of the Yankees and it was certainly a successful one. The Yankees captured the pennant for the first time in four years, winning 97 games and finishing twelve games in front of the second-place Detroit Tigers. They capped the season by defeating their crosstown rivals, the Brooklyn Dodgers, in an exciting seven-game World Series. The photo (10x8") displays a few very light surface wrinkles that are only visible on the reverse. Excellent condition overall. Encapsulated as Type I Authentic by PSA.
