Original Type I photograph capturing the 1943 World Champion New York Yankees in a traditional team pose. Thirty-two team members are pictured posing together on the field at Yankee Stadium, including Dickey, Gordon, McCarthy (Mgr.), Keller, Chandler, Stirnweiss, Crosetti, and Combs (coach). Both the team name and year ("New York Yankees 1943"), along with the name of the copyright holder ("The Sporting News Pub. Co.") are printed in white at the base of the photo. A typed player identification sheet is affixed to the reverse. The PSA label gives photography credit to George Dorrill. The Yankees defeated the St. Louis Cardinals in the 1943 World Series to capture their second World Championship of the decade. The photo (10x8") displays light wear in the upper right corner and is otherwise in Excellent to Mint condition. Encapsulated as Type I Authentic by PSA.
