A 1970s passport used by legendary fighter George Foreman. The document was issued on September 5, 1972, and expired September 4th, 1977. The item is signed by Foreman twice, one on the main page, where his photo is stapled and one on the previous page and another photo is stapled to the document at the back of the passport. The passport features stamps from many of Foreman's most famous fights. There is a stamp from Tokyo, Japan, where he landed on August 14th 1973 and departed on September 2, 1973. He fought Jose Roman in Tokyo, retaining his WBC and WBA Heavyweight titles. There is also a stamp from Venezuela where Foreman fought and defeated Ken Norton on March 26th. He arrived on March 15th, 1974, and departed on April 2nd. Foreman's passport is also marked for his famed "Rumble in the Jungle" fight with Muhammad Ali in Zaire. There is a stamp for France on November 6th, 1974, one week before the fight. There is also a full-page stamp from the Republic of Zaire which awarded the fighter a one month visa. The first Ali-Foreman bout would take place on October 30th, 1974, in Kinshasa. Foreman would drop the fight, the first loss in his career, and lose the WBC and WBA titles. This is an incredible and unique piece that highlights some of the most important fights of Foreman's career. The boxer passed away in 2025 at the age of 76.
