Presented is a collection of seven (7) rare, pin-back hockey buttons, including five teams from the defunct World Hockey Association: 1) Kansas City Scouts, an NHL team from 1974-76. The franchise moved to Denver in 1976, and then to New Jersey in 1982 to become the New Jersey Devils. The button has a 5.9" diameter and reads, "KC", with an image of a Native American scout astride a horse. 2) Philadelphia Flyers Fan Club, reads as aforementioned, with an added "FAN CLUB." The image on the button is very unusual, as the Flyers' player has on a "Quaker" hat and a pair of wings. This button has a 3" diameter. 3) San Diego Mariners (WHA). It has an image of a ship's wheel and a very nautically dressed hockey player. It has a 3.3" diameter. 4) Los Angeles Sharks (WHA). The button has an image of a shark, with a 3" diameter. 5) Phoenix Roadrunners (WHA), 3.3" diameter, with an image of a roadrunner bird, on skates.
