Mo Vaughn was a power hitting first baseman and designated hitter who played 12 seasons in the Major Leagues. Offered is a 1993-96 Mo Vaughn signed Boston Red Sox navy-blue, game worn cap. Vaughn, from Norfolk, Connecticut, was a college star at Seton Hall University. He played with Boston (1991-98), Anaheim Angels (1999-2000), and New York Mets (2002-03). He batted .293 for his Major League career, with 328 home runs. In 1995, the 6'1", 225 lbs., left-handed hitter was the AL MVP, when he hit .300, with 39 home runs and a league-leading 126 RBI. In 1996, the 3-time All-Star did even better, hitting .326, with 44 home runs and 143 RBIs. After playing at Anaheim, Vaughn finished his career relatively close to his Connecticut roots, as he finished his playing time with the New York Mets.

The cap style dates from 1993-96. The front of the cap has a "B" in a sewn-on cap red letter with white trim. The cap has a New Era manufacturer's tag, on the back inside hatband, showing "Pro Model" and 100% wool." Adjacent to the manufacturer's tag is a tag showing "100% wool" and size 7 & 1/4". Also, adjacent to the manufacturer's tag on the hatband is an "Authentic Diamond Collection" tag. On the underside of the cap's bill is "42" written in fine tip blue marker by an unknown hand. Using a fine tip blue marker, Vaughn has signed on the underside of the cap's bill, and he has added his number "42." The cap shows very light use, and it is in EXCELLENT condition.
