A bat used by Hall of Fame third baseman Wade Boggs near the 1986 season. The flame-burned ash bat, made by Cooper, is a model 235M and is 34.5" long and weighs 31.4 ounces. The uncracked bat shows nice signs of use with ball marks throughout the barrel and Boggs' number 26 is written on the knob. The player has signed the bat near the barrel but the autograph has mostly faded away. The lot will include a Letter of Authenticity verifying that the bat was used by Boggs. One of the greatest hitters of his era, Boggs was a 12-time All-Star and a five-time American League batting champion. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2005.
