A bat used by Hall of Fame catcher Gary Carter circa 1986-89. The flame-burned ash colored bat is 34.75" long and weighs 31.3 ounces. It shows terrific signs of use with original tape around the handle, Carter's number 8 written in black marker on the knob and ball strikes all along the barrel. Carter signed the bat twice near the barrel in blue ink and blue marker. The item will include a Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA verifying that the bat was used by Carter. Carter was one of the greatest catchers of all-time, making 11 All-Star games, winning 3 Gold Gloves, and winning the 1986 World Series with the Mets. A 2003 inductee into the MLB Hall of Fame.
