Displayed is a 2000 Kueth Duany Syracuse University Big East Conference Champions ring. Duany is a Sudanese American who was a 6'6" shooting guard and small forward as a freshman on Syracuse. In that 1999-2000 campaign, Syracuse had a 13-3 record and tied with Miami for the Big East Conference (regular season) Championship. The University of Connecticut won the 1999-2000 Big East Conference Tournament. Duany averaged 9.3 minutes in 22 games, averaging 3.2 PPG and 1.9 AST. As a senior, Duany was a Syracuse Captain and averaged 11.0 PPG, and the team won the 2002-03 NCAA Championship. The offered ring shows gold-colored letters reading "SU" on the ring face, over an orange-colored background. Around the ring face is imprinted "BIG EAST CHAMPIONS." Imprinted on the left prong is, "SYRACUSE/Syracuse University Founded A.D. 1870 (inscription inside image of wreath too small to read) 26-6." The right prong has "DUANY/13" and the image of a basketball net. The attractive ring is a size 12. Inside the ring band is stamped, in Latin: "Suos cultores scientia coronat" (Knowledge crowns those who seek her). The ring weighs 29 grams. The offering is in EXCELLENT condition.
