A full Orix Blue Wave uniform worn by baseball's newest Hall of Famer Ichiro Suzuki. The tail tag shows that the jersey is made by Mizuno Pro. The white mesh jersey features a Kobe patch on the right sleeve and an Orix patch on the left sleeve. The white uniform pants are also made by Mizuno Pro and feature a wash tag and blue and yellow striping down the legs. Both the jersey and pants show heavy use and have been washed. The lot features a letter of provenance from Yu Fukushima who states that he purchased the uniform from a team employee. The lot also includes a Letter of Authentication from MEARS who has verified the items and assigned them a gem mint grade of A 10. Ichiro Suzuki had a remarkable career that began with the Orix Blue Wave in 1992. A superstar in Japan, he would move to the states in 2001, winning both the Rookie of the Year and MVP Awards in 2001. A ten-time All Star and ten-time Gold Glover, Ichiro set the Major League record for hits in a season with 262 in 2004. A near-unanimous Hall of Famer, Suzuki is among the most popular players in baseball history and this is a rare chance to own memorabilia from his days in Japan.
