The white mesh jersey features a Kobe patch on the right sleeve and an Orix patch on the left sleeve. The white uniform pants are also made by Mizuno Pro and feature a wash tag and blue and yellow striping down the legs. Both the jersey and pants show heavy use and have been washed. The lot features a letter of provenance from Yu Fukushima who states that he purchased the uniform from a team employee. The lot also includes a Letter of Authentication from MEARS who has verified the items and assigned them a gem mint grade of A 10. Ichiro Suzuki had a remarkable career that began with the Orix Blue Wave in 1992. A superstar in Japan, he would move to the states in 2001, winning both the Rookie of the Year and MVP Awards in 2001. A ten-time All Star and ten-time Gold Glover, Ichiro set the Major League record for hits in a season with 262 in 2004. A near-unanimous Hall of Famer, Suzuki is among the most popular players in baseball history and this is a rare chance to own memorabilia from his days in Japan.
