Collection of two Princeton University yearbooks, plus a June 11, 1923, issue of "The Princeton Tiger," each featuring Moe Berg as a member of the school's baseball team. The two hardbound "Bric-A-Brac" yearbooks date, respectively, from 1924 and 1925. Berg is pictured in the team baseball photo and listed by name in both the year summary and various box scores of the season's games in each yearbook. The 1924 edition also lists Berg as a member of the "American Whig Society." The June 11, 1923, issue of "The Princeton Tiger" (the school's monthly campus magazine) includes a program for the June 16th baseball game against Yale, in which Berg is listed as the shortstop for Princeton in the preprinted lineup. Berg graduated magna cum laude at Princeton, with a B. A. in Modern Languages. Berg played four seasons of baseball at Princeton and was the captain of the team his senior year. Berg enjoyed a long fifteen-year career as a journeyman catcher in the Major Leagues, but is best known today for his work as a spy during World War II with the OSS (forerunner to the CIA). Each yearbook displays moderate wear to the covers but is otherwise in Excellent condition. "The Princeton Tiger" magazine remains in Very Good condition, with the interior baseball scorecard bearing no markings.
