Presented is a 1966 Joe DiMaggio and Hank Greenberg original Type I color photo. The two Hall of Fame sluggers are posing in a dugout, most likely before an Oldtimers Day Game. Both players had years out of their prime that were missed because of their military service in World War II. Greenberg, born and raised in the New York City borough of The Bronx, put on a great assault on Babe Ruth's single-season record of 60 home runs when the big first baseman bashed 58 round-trippers in 1938. DiMaggio's most memorable year was 1941, with his still record 56 consecutive game hitting streak. It's not a professional photograph, but it has plenty of charm as these two "old lions" radiate a nice feeling of camaraderie, DiMaggio's arm draped over Greenberg's shoulders as they glance onto the field with their gloves on hand, ready to turn back the clock and play ball once again. The photograph measures 7.25x7.5". On back is a stamp reading, "KODAK ENLARGEMENT/FEBRUARY 1966." The photo is in EXCELLENT condition. It has been encapsulated and PSA Certified as "TYPE I AUTHENTIC."
