Jerry West was known as "Zeke from Cabin Creek" (his hometown in West Virginia) and in 1960 the West Virginia University alumnus was a rookie point guard with the Los Angeles Lakers. Displayed is an 8x10" black & white circa 1960 action photo of the Hall of Famer. Also known as "the Logo" from posing for the NBA's logo, West teamed with Hall of Fame forward Elgin Baylor to give the Lakers a great one-two punch. West averaged 27.0 points for his career, all with the Lakers, and he was a leader on the Lakers' 1972 NBA Championship team. The offered photo shows West going high near the rim. At his peak, West had great spring in his legs, and he could reach 16 inches over the rim. The offering has been encapsulated and PSA Certified "TYPE I AUTHENTIC." The back has a stamped "Jerry West." The offering makes a great remembrance of one of the NBA's all-time greats, "Mister Clutch," another of West's nicknames, at the start of his illustrious professional career.
