Displayed is a gorgeous 2004 World Championship Boston Red Sox 14K gold pendant presented to shortstop Orlando Cabrera, who gave this pendant to his daughter. In 2004, Boston had a 98-64 regular season record and won the World Series by sweeping the St. Louis Cardinals. Cabrera played for the Montreal Expos in the first part of the 2004 season and then played 58 games for Boston, having an excellent final two months of the season by batting .320 in 228 official at bats for the Red Sox, with six homers and 31 RBIs. Cabrera played 15 MLB seasons, playing on nine teams and hitting a lifetime .272 with 123 home runs. The offered pendant measures approx. 1x1.5", including the clip at the top. Many real, small diamonds encircle the pendant face and more real diamonds are in the center of the face. The pendant face reads, "WORLD CHAMPIONS" and approx. a dozen real diamonds form an "infield," with a red letter "B" in the center of the face. On the verso is machine-etched "2004 BOSTON RED SOX/CABRERA" and "(c) Jostens 14K." The pendant weighs approx. 0.9 of an ounce. The consignor misplaced a LOA for the offering.
