Presented is a collection of four (4) college football programs, plus a 1950 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Review that includes a section that reviews the 1950 Rose Bowl game. Each of the programs measures 7.75x10.5", and each has 44 pages, including covers, except the 1950 Rose Bowl program, which has 56 pages, including covers. 1) Sept. 25, 1948, Missouri at Ohio State. 2) Michigan at Ohio State, November 20, 1948. 3) Wisconsin at Ohio State, November 11, 1950. 4) Rose Bowl Game on Jan. 1, 1950, California vs. Ohio State. This program has a small photo of Les Richter, the California All-American center/linebacker and a future NFL All-Star as a linebacker guard, and kicker with the Los Angeles Rams, 1954-62. Richter was inducted into both the College and Pro Football Halls of Fame. The aforementioned Rose Bowl Game program also includes a small photo of Vic Janowicz, the Ohio State halfback who would win the Heisman Trophy in 1950 and star in the NFL for the Washington Redskins. Janowicz was a 2-sport professional who also played two seasons with the Pittsburgh Pirates. 5) The 1950 Tournament of Roses Review: This 48-page publication reviews the entire 1950 Tournament of Roses event. Most of the 48-page publication covers the Tournament of Roses Parade, and five (5) pages of photos and text cover the Rose Bowl game. The game programs in general exhibit some slight darkening because of the passage of time and have occasional, very minor small stains and a few places showing wear, including tiny paper loss along the spine or corners. The Tournament of Roses Review shows wear with minor paper loss along the spine and front edges. Overall, the programs (with the Tournament of Roses Review) make great collectibles for their Ohio State and Rose Bowl connections.
