Lynda Tolbert-Goode collection with race-worn shoes, uniform, and multiple medals, including her 1993 World Championships Bronze. This comprehensive collection of memorabilia of the former USA Olympian (1992 and 1996) sprinter and hurdler includes equipment that she wore on race day, a used gold baton, as well as three medals that she won. Tolbert-Goode's Nike spandex top and shorts are unwashed and display light sweat stains and loose threads from wear. USA is printed across the front of the top. Her Mizuno shoes show moderate use, mainly in the inside back heel area with paint chipping off the heel. The spikes on the front underside of each shoe have been removed/unscrewed and are not included. Rounding out the on-track collection is a gold baton, measuring 11.5 inches. Light scratch marks are visible on the baton. It is unknown which races these items are from. The medals won by Tolbert-Goode are a 1992 gold medal from a competition in Brazil, a bronze medal from the 1993 World Championships in Germany, and a USA National Championships medal circa 1995. The Brazil medal measures 2.75 inches across weighs 3.75 oz., and has the Olympic rings and Olympic flames embossed on the front. There is also glue residue or a similar type of sticky substance that has hardened with the passage of time, on the front of the medal. At one point, a gold-colored circular metal disc of a woman jumping over a hurdle was affixed to the medal. The disc is about 1.25 inches wide and is included with the lot. Portuguese text is etched on the back of the medal. The 1993 medal was won by Tolbert-Goode in Germany in the 100-meter hurdles. It has Tolbert's name (Lynda Tolbert) etched on the front of the medal, and the date of the race, "13-22 Aug. 1993" is beneath German text. The medal weighs 5 oz. Finally, the USA medal was won by Tolbert-Goode at the USA Mobil Indoor Championships, held from March 3-4, 1995, in Atlanta, Georgia. The medal weighs 1.5 oz.
