Presented is a very rare, circa 1965 Camden Bullets' complete warm-up suit. The Camden Bullets originally played as the Baltimore Bullets in the Eastern Professional Basketball League, and the team moved to Camden, New Jersey, (right across the Delaware River from Philadelphia) for the 1963-64 to '67-68 seasons, becoming the Camden Bullets. When the NBA's Philadelphia Warriors moved to San Francisco for the 1962-63 season, future Hall of Famer Warrior forward Paul Arizin, a Philadelphia native nearing the end of his career, did not choose to move with the team to San Francisco and instead began working a regular 9-5 professional job in the Philadelphia area. Still wanting to play professional basketball, in the 1963-64 & 1964-65 seasons, he played in the Eastern League, a minor league that played on weekends and facilitated players playing while simultaneously working other jobs full time. It is not clear who wore this warm-up, perhaps Arizin or other players on the Bullets, possibly even such as former NBA veterans like Hal Lear and George Blaney. It has number "8" in a blue numeral with white trim on the left sleeve. It could have been used by many Bullets' players over several years. As befits a team from the area of Philadelphia, a hotbed for the American Revolution, the warm-up suit is in patriotic colors: red, with white and blue trim. The warm-up top has Wilson tagging in the collar, with an additional tag, circa 1965, reading, 48 [size] +3 +3". Adjacent to the Wilson tag is an Orlon tag. The aforementioned three tags have partial tears. The jersey has seven red plastic buttons down the front., and a decorative white and blue "V" across the front. The sleeves have white and blue trim. Across the back is BULLETS in blue block letters with white trim. The red pants have white and blue trim and a Wilson manufacturers' tag in the waist showing size 36. The pants have no length tag but measure approx. 46" from waist to the bottom. Each pant leg has a working zipper near the bottom. Back in the 1960s, the Eastern League, with most teams in Pennsylvania and some in New Jersey, had many former and future NBA players. The warm-up suit shows good wear, and considering its age of about six decades, it is in nice condition. This vintage warm-up suit makes a fine remembrance of the Eastern League and the Camden Bullets.
