A letter signed by Kennesaw Mountain Landis, the first commissioner of Major League Baseball. The letter, which concerns World Series tickets, is addressed to Warren Giles, then the President of the Cincinnati Reds. Drawn on his letterhead, Landis has signed the letter, which includes a centennial logo in the bottom right corner in his own hand, and the autograph grades out as an 8.5/10. The letter and signature have been authenticated by PSA/DNA and are encapsulated. Landis, a federal judge, was made the Commissioner of Baseball in 1920, appointed after the Black Sox scandal. He would stay in the role until his death in 1944. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in the same year.
