An Official American League baseball (Budig) signed by both the American Iron Man, Cal Ripken Jr., and the Japanese Iron Man, Sachio Kinugasa. The ball has been signed on the sweet spot in blue ink by both Ripken Jr. and Kinugasa and Kinugasa also signed the ball in Japanese. The item has been authenticated by JSA. Ripken Jr. holds the worldwide consecutive games played record with 2,632 and was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007. Kinugasa, who broke Lou Gehrig's streak in 1987, holds the Japanese consecutive games played record with 2,215. The former third baseman for the Hiroshima Carp was inducted into the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame in 1996.
