1980 Gary Carter Montreal Expos game worn jersey. Powder blue Expos road jersey worn by "The Kid" during the 1980 season. The front right tail of the jersey includes a red Rawlings patch with size 42 sewn on the inside. Attached to the Rawlings tag is a small white tag that reads "SET 1, 1980." Carter signed the front of the jersey below the Expos logo and name and included the inscription, "Best Wishes & God Bless always." The jersey shows light use, has been authenticated by MEARS and will come with a full LOA. Carter, one of the most popular players in Expos history, had a standout year in 1980. He knocked in over 100 RBIs for the first time in his career, made the National League All-Star team, and won his first Gold Glove. Carter was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2003. He was the first Hall of Famer to be featured wearing an Expos hat on his Hall of Fame plaque.
