He played first base, and he was very good defensively. Apparently, he was athletic and had a nice-looking baseball swing, but he didn't hit was as well as he swing might indicate. Thus, he was not really a professional prospect, but at a small, private school level he was a decent player. Donald Trump signed the offered baseball on the sweet spot.
