Rare Cincinnati Reds pro-model home jersey dating from the 1966 season. This jersey is unusual in that it was an extra that was never used by the club, as it bears no number or name on the reverse. Other than that, it is identical to those worn by the team members in 1966. The white pinstripe vest-style jersey features the Reds team patch on the left breast. A MacGregor 44 label appears in the collar. Located on the interior left front tail are a MacGregor label (reading Set 2 1966) and an adjacent wash tag. The jersey displays no use and remains in Near Mint condition. All Major League teams kept extra jerseys such as this on hand during the season, but they are scarce, as most were eventually used by the club. This is the first such 1966 Reds example we have ever seen and one that would be a fine addition to any advanced jersey or Cincinnati Reds collection.
