Offered are three distinct copies of the 1913 American and National League Base Ball Schedule and Record Book. Each booklet measures approx. 7x9.75" and has 16 pages, excluding covers. Despite the booklets' title mentioning schedule and records, the written items are actually very informal and mostly consist of interesting and varied news briefs, plus some longer articles, covering Major League players and teams as well as players and clubs in the minors. The booklets were published by M.J. Sullivan Company, of Salem Mass. The booklets were issued weekly and are dated: April 14, April 28, and May 5. Included in the offering are mentions of some of the biggest stars in baseball history, such as Joe Jackson, Jim Thorpe, Christy Mathewson, Honus Wagner, Ty Cobb, Cy Young, Nap Lajoie, Tris Speaker, Frank Chance, and Rube Waddell. News on the opening of the Federal League is also included. The May 5th issue has a tear on right side that is on all pages. There are water stains, mostly minor, on two of the three booklets, and there are some small stains and some minor discoloration in each booklet. The booklet in the best condition is the one that mentions Joe Jackson (April 14, 1913).
