Large-format original photograph capturing the members of the "All-Star Football Squad 1961" posing together indoors, including Ernie Davis, Mike Ditka, Roman Gabriel, Merlin Olsen, and E. J. Holub. All the players are wearing their team sweaters, which bear a red-white-and-blue shield patch lettered "All Stars 1961." The photographer's credit, 1961 Burke & Dean Photo-Chicago, appears in the lower right corner. This photo originates from the personal collection of E. J. Holub and is accompanied by Holub's All-Star patch, which has been mounted and framed. Holub has signed the frame on the reverse. The photo (20x12") displays several moderate vertical creases and has been affixed to a cardboard mount (20x15"; GD) by means of an adhesive along the top border of the photo. Very Good condition overall. The patch (5.5x6") is in apparent Excellent condition and has been mounted and framed to total dimensions of 9.5x10.5." Each piece is accompanied by a signed letter of provenance from Sandi Holub, E. J. Holub's widow.
