Exceptional 1919 signed image of master illusionist Harry Houdini includes a perfect autograph. Photograph portion measures 3.25x4.25" and was clearly for promotional purposes with "Harry Handcuff Houdini" embedded in the top right corner; mounted on a piece of white card stock measuring 4.5x6" overall. Back is blank and clean and backing appears near-perfect, with some expected fading to the central image. Signed and inscribed as, "Sincerely Yours Houdini," in bold, black fountain ink. The image itself has not been given a type designation as PSA will not authenticate mounted photos, however, the piece is encapsulated with an immaculate PSA/DNA GEM MT 10 for the autograph. Any claims that the great Houdini may have signed in "disappearing" ink are, to this date, unfounded.
