1926 World Series ticket stub from the finale between the New York Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals is from the first of Lou Gehrig's 34 Series appearances. Blue stub measuring 2.375x4.5" presents nicely with clear print. There is some rounding and minor paper loss at the top corners and the tear is uneven, resulting in more noticeable paper loss on back; in addition, significant paper loss on back is evident, apparently due to removal of a piece of clear tape. Gehrig drove in the Bronx Bombers' only runs in a 2-1 victory over St. Louis, and batted .348 for the series, though the Yanks fell short in a 7-game heartbreaker. Encapsulated by PSA as STUB PR 1.
