New York Yankees check, dated May 28, 1925, signed by both team owner Jacob Ruppert and general manager Ed Barrow. PSA has encapsulated the check and certified the signatures as Authentic. The check, drawn on the "Yorkville Bank of New York," is made out to American League president Ban Johnson ("B. B. Johnson") in the amount of $678.06. Signed in black fountain by Jacob Ruppert (grading 10/10) along the base, and countersigned on the left border by E. G. Barrow (8/10). As indicated by the typed notation on the reverse, this check represents the American League's share of the receipts from games against Boston on May 26th, 27th, and 28th. Johnson's stamped endorsement also appears on the reverse. The check (9x3.25") displays normal bank cancellation holes and stamps, as well as a staple hole and a few very light creases. Very Good to Excellent condition. A JSA hologram label appears on the reverse, but no corresponding COA or LOA accompanies the check.
