Rare "Wagner Day" souvenir mini bat signed by the legendary Flying Dutchman on the barrel. The bat, produced by H&B, is stamped "Wagner Day - June 9" on the barrel. Wagner has inscribed it in black fountain pen "J. Honus Wagner Pirate 1935/Pirate 1900," with both the signature and text grading 6/10. This is just the second Wagner Day mini bat we have ever seen and the first signed example. It seems there was more than one Wagner Day held in Pittsburgh, so we are not sure exactly what year this bat dates from, but given the year noted by Wagner, it probably originates from the one held in 1933. The June 9th date is significant because it was on June 9, 1914, that Wagner became just the second player in Major League history to amass 3,000 hits. The bat (16 inches long) remains in Excellent to Mint condition. Accompanied by a 2010 JSA Auction LOA.
