Cy Young, with 511 victories, has the most wins of any pitcher in history. Presented is a Cy Young signed mini-bat. The Hall of Fame right-hander pitched from 1890-1911 in the Major Leagues, most notably with the Cleveland Spiders of the National League (1890-98) and the Boston Americans (Red Sox) of the American League (1901-08). Young passed away in 1955, and in his honor the Cy Young Award was created, given to baseball's best pitcher each year, starting in 1956. Starting in 1967, the Award was given to the best pitcher in each league. The offered wooden mini bat is 10.5" in length. Young signed his name to the barrel of the mini-bat in black ink from a steel-tip fountain pen. On the side of the barrel, there is a name notation of "John Marsh" in black paint. The bat is in very good condition. The offering comes with a JSA LOA, certification #X01359.
