A 14-karat gold pocket knife that was created to commemorate the first-ever no-hitter ever pitched at Fenway Park, by Rube Foster on June 21st, 1916. This knife was given to Dick Hoblitzell, a first baseman on the team from 1914-18. The item presents extremely well for its age and is engraved on both sides. One side reads, Boston 2, New York 0, No-Hit Game, Foster - Carrigan Battery, and the other, Joseph J. Lannin, Pres., To Richard C. Hoblitzell, 6-21-'16. Fenway Park has had more no-hitters thrown there than any other park with 14, and this item is an intriguing piece of memorabilia from the very first.
