Pair of Cincinnati Reds World Series press pins commemorating, respectively, the club's appearance in the 1939 and 1940 fall classics. Both pins were manufactured by Bastian Brothers (stamped on the reverse) and remain in Near Mint Condition. The 1939 pin features a threaded-post backing, while the 1940 example is a brooch. The Reds lost to the New York Yankees in the 1939 World Series, but redeemed themselves the next year by defeating the Detroit Tigers in seven games.
