1999 Atlanta Falcons home jersey worn by tackle Bob Whitfield in Super Bowl XXXIII, played at Pro Player Stadium in Miami, Florida, on January 31, 1999. In addition to the jersey bearing the official Super Bowl XXXIII patch on the left front shoulder, Lelands has also photo-matched it to the one worn by Whitfield during the game.
The black mesh jersey features the number 70 on the front, reverse, and each shoulder. "Whitfield" is lettered upon a black nameplate on the reverse, directly above the number. All letters and numerals are applied in white on red tackle twill. A Reebok 52 label appears in the collar, directly below which is a flag tag reading "100% Nylon/Blitz 2/Irish Neck/+4." A "Reebok 1998" tag is located on the left front tail. A Falcons team patch appears on each sleeve. The jersey is original as issued and displays heavy wear, including light staining and paint transfers on the numerals, a tiny hole in the shoulder, and loosening to the Falcons patch on the left shoulder. Whitfield started all sixteen games at left tackle for the Falcons in 1998 and helped lead the team to a 14-2 record. He was also the team's starting left tackle against the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXXIII, which ended in a 34-19 win for the Broncos.
