Collection of twenty-two photographs capturing members of the Boston Bruins over the course of three decades (1930s-1950s). These photos originate from the personal collection of a former Boston sportswriter, who acquired most of them from either his newspaper's photo department or the Boston Bruins public relations department. Many are news photos, but a few publicity photos are also present. Among the players featured here, either alone or with teammates, are Percy Galbraith, Eddie Shore, Bill Cowley, Milt Schmidt, Bobby Bauer, Mel Hill, Ray Conacher, Bert Gardens, Dit Clapper, Woody Dumart, Cooney Weiland, Larry Regan, Harry Lumley, Don Mckenney, Jim Herberts, and Buzz Ball. All the photos measure approximately 7x9" or 8x10" except for four (slightly smaller or larger). Because most are news photos, many display flaws consistent with their former use, including, but not limited to, trimming, creasing, crazing, edge tears, editorial shading and/or markings, pinholes, and writing on the reverse. Please note: none of the photos have been evaluated by PSA, therefore no guarantees are made regarding specific Type designations.
