1983 game used New York Mets hat dates from the one-year return to the Big Apple of the immortal Tom Seaver. After establishing himself as one of the game's top pitchers over the first decade of his career - all with the Mets - denizens of the Big Apple had their hearts broken when "The Franchise" was dealt to the Cincinnati Reds in 1977. Six years later, he returned for one homecoming season in Queens, though he was hardly the Tom Terrific of old, posting a 9-14 record and 3.55 ERA. Still, this serves as a fine memento of the return of one of New York's all-time great sporting figures.
