Collection of nine Brooklyn Dodgers felt pennants dating from the 1940s and 1950s. All are the full-size variety, ranging in length from 22 to 28 inches. One is specifically dated "1949," while two others read "World Champions" and must date from either immediately after the 1955 World Series or the following season (1955 was the only season in which the Dodgers won the World Series while in Brooklyn). Six others read "National League Champions." Most of the pennants display moderate-to-heavy wear, with common flaws including fading to the material, crazing to the painted graphics, tack holes, small tears, and clipped tips. All have tassels except for one. Condition ranges from Fair to Very Good, averaging Good.
