Personal check, dated June 18, 1948, signed by Jackie Robinson. PSA has encapsulated the check and graded the signature MINT 9. This is an early Robinson check and it is rare to see examples predating 1948. The check, drawn on the "Chemical Bank & Trust Company of New York," is made out to "Ray Isum" in the amount of $10.00. Signed "Jackie Robinson" in blue fountain pen along the base. Endorsed by the recipient on the reverse. Robinson and the Dodgers began a three-game series against the Chicago Cubs at Ebbets Field on the day this check was signed. Robinson had two hits, including a triple, in the club's 6-4 loss that day. The check (8.25x3"), which has normal bank cancellation holes and stamps, displays three vertical folds and is otherwise in Excellent condition.
