Pair of black Nike baseball cleats worn by Derek Jeter, 1997. Each cleat features "Turn 2" embroidered in white on the back of heal. While we have not been able to conclusively photo match these cleats, Jeter can be seen wearing this exact style, with colored in swish, in photos dating from 1997. Jeter did wear the same model cleat in 1996, so it's possible he wore these cleats in 1996 and colored them in early 1997, but we cannot prove this. The future captain batted .291 with 10 home runs and 70 RBI to help lead the Yankees to the post-season for the third consecutive season. The cleats, which display no size on the interior, display heavy use, including caked dirt on the underside and tape wrapped around the ends of the laces on each shoe.
