Circa 1969-72 game used bat wielded and signed by Washington Senators giant Frank Howard. One of the most imposing figures of his or any era, both literally and figuratively, Howard stood at a hulking 6'7" and weighed upwards of 290 pounds at times, thus it is no surprise that he would swing a bat like this Louisville Slugger model R43, which is 36.5 inches long, while weighing a surprisingly-modest 32.0 ounces. Bat is uncracked and shows excellent use with ball marks and green, red, and black bat rack paint steaks on the barrel; number 33 is written on the knob in bold, black marker. "Hondo" also beautifully signed between trademark and barrel stamp in 8-9/10 blue fiber tip marker. After a strong career start with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Howard began a 7-year stint in our Nation's Capital where he was immensely popular while leading the American League in home runs with 44 during both the 1968 and '70 seasons. Comes with PSA/DNA LOA grading this fine bat at GU 8.5 (note that the LOA is for the bat only and does not authenticate the autograph).
