Circa 1968 bat game issued to Minnesota Twins Hall of Famer Harmon Killebrew. Numerous articles and photos of the era depict Killebrew using Oregon Slammer bats, no surprise as the man affectionately known as "Killer" personally owned the company; this is his signature model 35 L4, measuring 35 inches and 32 ounces. Although it has his "3" in marker on the knob and has bat rack marks on the barrel, we can't find any form of significant game use, thus, we call this one game issued instead of used. So prolific was Killebrew that, at the time of his retirement after the 1975 season, he had the 5th most homers among Major Leaguers, was second all-time in the American League only to the immortal Babe Ruth, and he was the AL leader in round-trippers by a right-handed batter.
