Amazing 1995 Rebecca Lobo UConn Huskies NCAA Women's Basketball Championship ring comes in its original wood display box which is signed by the multi-time Hall of Famer. It's hard to imagine a 6'4" center wearing a slender size 4.5 ring such as this, which has "NCAA" on a black set stone surrounded by "1995 Champions" around the bezel. Left bezel has a relief of a basketball with the opposite displaying a ball going through a net. Original oval display box measures approximately 4x2.25", and Lobo has signed both under the lid and on bottom in black Sharpie reading, "Rebecca Lobo - #50 - '95 Nat'l Champions." Lobo completed her career by leading her Huskies to a perfect 35-0 record in the '95 season, proceeding to spend six seasons in the WNBA. In 2010, Lobo was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame, and seven years later she was voted to the Naismith Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass. This ring was consigned to a charity auction by Lobo and is the first of this type of ring that we have seen offered for sale; in fact they are difficult to even find images of. Perhaps an unfortunate sign of the times, this slender-styled ring bears little resemblance to men's championship rings of the era, though this is certainly no less significant.
