All-original ornamental mirror holder with a tennis theme dates from the 1800s. In this cast iron figural, a pair of women - with rackets - are on either side, stringing up a net; the sag in the middle presents a perfect curve in which to nestle a mirror, and clips on the back were used for mounting. Original hand-painting is present, and despite some expected blemishes, remains clear and bright. Measures 13" across at the base, but stands only about 0.25" thick. Some rust is evident on the back and one of the clips is missing, overall remains in VG-EX condition.
