Richie LeDuc was a center who played in the minor leagues for the American Hockey League's Boston Braves in 1972-73, and then went on to have a stellar career in the World Hockey Association. In the 1972-73 season, the Boston Braves, the top affiliate of the Boston Bruins, had a 34-29-13 record, finishing in second place in the AHL Eastern Division, and the Braves were eliminated in the second round of the AHL playoffs. LeDuc had an excellent season, as the left-handed shot played in 65 games, scoring 31 goals, and added 42 assists for a team-leading 73 points. LeDuc played in four NHL seasons, two with the Boston Bruins and two with the Quebec Nordiques. In his four seasons in the NHL, he had 28 goals and 38 assists for 66 points. In the World Hockey Association (1974-79), LeDuc became a star. In five years, he scored at least 30 goals every season. In his best season, 1976-77, LeDuc played for the Cincinnati Stingers and had 52 goals and 55 assists for 107 points. In his five WHA seasons, LeDuc was an offensive force. He played 394 games and scored 195 goals, and added 195 assists for 390 points, an outstanding total of practically a point per game. The Braves' jersey is maroon, with black and white trim. "Braves" is in white script, with black trim, sewn on across the chest. Each sleeve has "18" in white numerals, with maroon trim, sewn on. The "18" on the right sleeve has a small stain. There is a Wilson tag in the collar with a handwritten size "48" and an "X" going through the tag in faded marker. There are two repairs, two holes, and pilling. The back of the jersey has "18," in white with black trim, sewn on. Overall, the jersey has an amazing Durene style.
