Outstanding "Original Six" Chicago Black Hawks jersey shows game use from Blackhawks player Elmer Vasko and dates approximately from 1958-59. Rayson Sports and size 48 tagging are sewn inside the bottom left hem, jersey is road red with white and black highlights. The easily identifiable Indian-head nylon logo crest is on the chest, and number 4 is in white on each shoulder above a C crossed-tomahawks logo patch on each sleeve. Number is on the back in white, drawstring for collar is present. Nice use is shown but the sweater remains in amazing condition, with only a significant area of staining present across the bottom left hip. Though a charter member from the days in which the NHL was comprised of just 6 teams, Stanley Cups were hard to come by for Chicago in that era due to the dominance of Canadian teams, though the Hawks did snap a 23-year skid by lifting the trophy in the 1960-61 season. This is fresh to the hobby and has not been seen since it was last worn over a half century earlier.
