Tremendous 2017 New England Patriots AFC Championship ring, awarded to a staff member who was involved in the infamous Deflate-gate scandal just two years prior. Crafted from 10k white gold, top features 42 diamonds surrounded by "New England Patriots" with the logo including one solitary diamond surrounded by 32 stones and 10 marquise-cut diamonds. Left shank bears the name Murphy above "EQUIPMENT," relief of Gillette Field tower and scoreboard, which includes the Pats' AFC title years and "10x" for the number to that point (they have won one since). Right shank has Patriots' wordmark and AFC logo, flanked by the score of the AFC Championship game vs Jacksonville and year. Interior is engraved "We Are All Patriots" above owner Robert Kraft's signature. Size 11.5 ring weighs approximately 60 grams and features 84 diamonds with an approximate weight of 2.0 carats. Comes with original lighted glass-top display box. The recipient, Branden Murphy, was a ball boy with the 2015 squad and was named as part of the infamous Deflate-gate scandal as a ball boy on the sidelines, though he apparently wasn't implicated in any wrongdoing and obviously continued to work within the New England organization. Outstanding piece with a historic twist.
