Presented is a great collection of Syracuse University football pennants, with some Syracuse basketball pennants added to the mix. The collection has 23 Syracuse pennants that are approximately 29-30 inches long and with a width, at the pennant's larger end, of approximately 11-12". Includes: 1990 Eagle Aloha Bowl, Hawaii, matching Syracuse and Arizona, with some discoloration at the narrow end of the pennant and a few very small stains; 1990 Kickoff Classic at The Meadowlands Stadium in New Jersey pitting Syracuse against USC; 1988 Sugar Bowl; Syracuse Orangemen 2003 NCAA basketball championship; 1999 FedEx Orange Bowl Battle at the Beach; 1953, 19th Annual Orange Bowl Game, one of the images of an Orangeman has a large stain, and there is some damage and staining on the bottom of the pennant; 1966 Gator Bowl matching Syracuse and Tennessee; Banner featuring both basketball and football images and the Carrier Dome, no years given, has some fading of color and a few small stains; Syracuse at the Gator Bowl, two banners with different colored backgrounds, no year given; Syracuse at the Cherry Bowl at the Silverdome in Pontiac, Michigan; Banners (4) showing "Syracuse," with one of the pennants having the image of a Native American; USF&G Sugar Bowl, New Orleans, no year indicated on pennant, has a number of small stains; Independence Bowl pennant (no year); 1997 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl; 1996 Liberty Bowl, Syracuse vs. Houston; Smaller Pennants: A 24-inch long S.U. on [CBS Television] WTVH 5 Syracuse pennant; Three 18-inch pennants reading "Go Orangemen! Charter One Bank SU." With the exception of the defects already mentioned, the pennants are in excellent, and sometimes even pristine, condition. With Syracuse University having championship tradition in both football and basketball, this pennant collection has great eye appeal with myriad color combinations and designs.
