Vintage photograph of Roy Campanella as a member of the Montreal Royals in 1947, signed by Campanella on the front. Campanella has scripted his name in blue fountain pen across his image, with the signature grading 7/10. Campanella was in his second season of organized baseball in 1947 and photographs of him with Montreal, let alone signed examples, are scarce. This is the first such example we can recall having seen and we cannot imagine many others exist. The small snapshot photograph (2.75x3.75"), which pictures Campanella striking a catching pose on the sideline, bears his typed name, position, and team affiliation on the reverse. Very Good condition overall, with light creasing.
